St. Lawrence County - The Town of Potsdam Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Revised Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Wal-Mart Supercenter. Change of Location of Hearing. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on November 16, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Ave Elementary School Cafeteria, Lawrence Ave, Potsdam, NY. Comments on the Revised Draft EIS will be accepted until November 30, 2004. The proposed action is the construction of an approximately 183,000 square foot Wal-Mart Supercenter retail facility and gas station with paved parking, access driveways, utilities and storm water facilities to support the proposed use. The proposed action also includes two (2) remaining out-parcels to be used for eventual commercial development. The project site is zoned R-A Residential Agricultural, C-C Community Center and P-D Planned Development Overlay. The project site is located to the south of New York State Route 11 in the Town of Potsdam, St. Lawrence County, approximately 6,000 feet west of the Village of Potsdam.

Oneida County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Town of Paris, as lead agency, has determined that the Water System Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves water source, water storage and water distribution improvements for the Sauquoit Consolidated Water District. The project is located on King Road, Mohawk Street, Holman City Road, and White Falls well source in the Town of Paris, NY.
