The applicant proposes to expand an existing 35-acre sand and gravel mine to 42-acres, enlarging an existing pond through sub-aqueous mining.  Material processing already occurs at the site using a dry-screen to sort sand and gravel.  The location is southwest of the intersection of Salt Point Turnpike with NYS Route 82.

The applicant proposes to construct a 12,000 square foot commercial/retail building with a restaurant, 29 parking spaces, and a stormwater detention system within the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland GO-13.  The applicant also proposes a subsurface discharge of 2,770 gallons per day (gpd) of treated sanitary wastewater using the Eljen In-Drains System.  The project is located on the south side of Route 207 approximately 1,000 feet east of the intersection with Route 416.

    The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to re-issue the following EPA minor Private/Commercial/Institutional State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (P/C/I SPDES) permit.  DEC has made a tentative determination to re-issue this permit for a five year term maintaining current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements.  This permit involves the surface discharge of up to 7,000 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste to the Stege's Brook.

    Additional information on this permit may be requested from or inspected at the NYSDEC Central Office in Albany.  Substantive comments must be submitted in writing to the contact person.

The applicant proposes to construct a driveway for a single-family residence across State-designated Freshwater Wetland N-24 (Class II).  The project site is located on the southwest side of Sinsabaugh Road, approximately 1.2 miles north of the intersection with NYS Route 52. The proposed driveway is 14 feet wide and would cross approximately 250 linear feet of the wetland and approximately 200 feet of the 100-foot adjacent area.
