ENB Region 3 Completed Applications 10/27/2004

The applicant proposes to raze an existing cabin and shed, install fencing, grade and fill within the 100 foot Adjacent Area of Freshwater Wetland PQ-29 to prepare the site for a new single family dwelling.  The project is located on the west side of Route 292 approximately 0.5 miles north of the intersection with Bundy Hill Road.       

The applicant proposes to cross approximately 160 feet of the 100-foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland # PB-37 (Class: 2) in conjunction with construction of a single family house on 5 +/- acres. The location is on the north side of NYS Route 17-K approximately one mile west of the intersection with Collabar Road.

The applicant proposes to remove debris and construct a portion of a parking area within the 100-foot adjacent area of State-designated Freshwater Wetland CO-2 (Class II).  The project site is located on the south side of NYS Route 207 (Little Britain Road), approximately 500 feet west of the intersection with North Jackson Avenue. Approximately 0.16 acre of the 100-foot adjacent area will be converted to parking area. In addition, miscellaneous concrete rubble debris present on the site will be removed from the wetland adjacent area and the area restored.  The overall project involves conversion of an existing one-story, 3,744 square foot wood and masonry building to a two-story, 5,930 square foot office space.

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application to modify a SPDES permit to increase an existing surface discharge from 30,000 gallons per day (gpd) to 46,000 gpd of non-contact cooling water and stormwater run-off from the applicant's research and development facility to Warwick Brook, Class C.  The modification will also add an outfall (No. 002) to the brook. The project is located east of the intersection of Sterling Lake Road (County Route 84) and Warwick Brook Road in the Town of Tuxedo, Orange County.  A draft permit is available for inspection and comment at the regional office.

    The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to re-issue the following EPA minor Private/Commercial/Institutional State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (P/C/I SPDES) permit.  DEC has made a tentative determination to re-issue this permit for a five year term maintaining current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements.  This permit involves the surface discharge of up to 35,000 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste to the Little Beaver Kill Creek.

The applicant proposes to construct a 14 lot subdivision with an internal road system and a stormwater management system that are partially located within the regulated adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland CD-39.  Excluding the lands held by the New Paltz Fire Department, the project is located on approximately 65 acres in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of North Putt Corners Road and Henry W. DuBois Drive, Town of New Paltz, Ulster County.

    The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to re-issue the following EPA minor Private/Commercial/Institutional State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (P/C/I SPDES) permit.  DEC has made a tentative determination to re-issue this permit for a five year term maintaining current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements.  This permit involves the surface discharge of up to 7,300 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste to the Beaverkill Creek                    .
