Pursuant to Title 3, Article 49 of the Environmental Conservation Law, the Department of Environmental Conservation hereby gives public notice of the following:
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 49-0305(9) of the Environmental Conservation Law, of the Department's intent to acquire a Conservation Easement in the Tug Hill Region from the Nature Conservancy, Inc. and GMO Forestry Fund 3, L.P., over certain lands located in the Towns of Montague, Martinsburg, West Turin, Osceola and Lewis, Lewis County, New York.

Jefferson County - The Development Authority of the North Country, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Landfill Gas to Energy Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction and operation of a landfill gas to energy generating facility, including ancillary facilities, at the Authority's regional landfill site. Electricity will be sold to the utility grid. Electricity and heat may also be supplied to local end users, such as a potential hydroponic greenhouse operation, to help promote economic development in the area. The project is located on NYS Route 177, in the Town of Rodman, Jefferson County, NY.
