Project Description: The action involves creation of John Dillon Park, a group camp operation that will provide outdoor recreational opportunities primarily for persons with disabilities. Proposed improvements will include: trails, shelters, fishing and boat access docks, a ranger/visitor contact cabin, a staff cabin and parking designed for use by persons with disabilities. The project will involve portions of the applicant's 13,643 acre tract adjacent to Grampus Lake and Handsome Pond.
Clinton County - The Planning Board of the Town of Plattsburgh, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Day Brothers, Inc will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a request to modify previously approved two plot subdivision to be a three lot subdivision, thereby creating a new 13.08 acre parcel (which has seven existing camp/residences) in addition to a 3.4 acre parcel which is proposed to be merged with adjacent Roger B. Kennedy Tax Parcel and remaining lands of Day Brothers Inc. No new development is proposed. The project is located on the east side of NYS Route 9 South.
