The Department has received an application for the discharge of 500 gallons/day of treated sanitary wastewater to a Class C tributary of Honeoye Creek.  The applicant plans to replace a septic tank and drainage well previously discharging to groundwaters with the proposed aerator treatment system at property located on Park Lane in the Town of Rush. The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application.  As a tentative determination, the Department seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.  A draft permit is available for review.

The Department has received an application for the discharge of 35,000 gallons/day of treated sanitary wastewater to Tuscarora Creek, a class C waterbody, from the applicant's proposed treatment plant on Grange Street in the Town of Jasper.  The applicant proposes to utilize an activated sludge process to treat domestic sanitary wastewater, incorporating tertiary treatment and post aeration.  The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit under Article 17 of the Environmental Conservation Law.  This tentative determination indicates that the discharge regulated under this statute is considered to satisfy regulatory standards for permit issuance, based on information available to the Department at this time.  As a tentative determination, the Department seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.  A draft permit is available for review.
