New York City (Kings) County - The NYCDEP, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 26th Ward Water Pollution Control Plant, Stabilization Program Contract 11G will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the replacement of various equipment in the 26th Ward WPCP that has aged beyond itsí useful life and/or does not meet current requirements. The proposed project would involve rehabilitation of the existing raw sewage pump station piping and valves, and the replacement of the existing raw sewage force main. The project also includes removal of the existing fuel oil storage tanks and remediation of this area and installation of a containment cell for future fuel oil storage. The proposed project would neither change the capacity of the WPCP nor involve a change in a treatment process that would lead to a change in effluent quality or air emissions. The project is located at the 26th Ward Water Pollution Control Plant, 122-66 Flatlands Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
