The applicant proposes to
remove a 100' x 175' x 3.5' gravel bar, deposited by recent
storms, within in the Cohocton River just north of the of the Wood Road Bridge.
Currently, the gravel bar is putting pressure on the opposite bank, decreasing channel
capacity and threatening the bridge and newly constructed canoe launch. Gravel will be
removed by an excavator and bulldozer and trucked outside the 100-year flood plain to an
existing gravel pit owned by the Town of Campbell. All disturbed areas will be seeded .

The Department has received
an application to create Arcadia Water District #8 and to
take for use therein a supply of water estimated to average 11,725 gallons per day from
the Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority's Western Service Area sources. This
project includes the installation of 10, 500 linear feet of 12-inch water main and 11,000
linear feet of 8-inch water main and appurtenances to serve 58 units. This project is being
undertaken in conjunction with the Town of Palmyra Hydesville Road Water District to
connect the Town of Arcadia water distribution network to the Town of Palmyra Central
Water District. The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this
application and is seeking public comment prior to making a final decision on permit
issuance.

The Department has received
an application to construct approximately 8,600 linear feet
of 12-inch water main along Hydesville Road and approximately 2,200 linear feet of 6-inch water main
along Hazen Lane, including valves, hydrants and appurtenances.
Approximately 400 feet of the 12-inch watermain will be installed within the regulated
100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland PA-13 along Hydesville Road. This project
is being undertaken in conjunction with the Town of Arcadia Water District 8 to connect
the Town of Arcadia water distribution network to the Town of Palmyra Central Water
District. The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application
and is seeking public comment prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.
