operate a 5 acre Bluestone Mine within a 1,157 acre parcel on
Morrison Brook Road in the Town of Hancock. Mining activities will include the use of
mechanical equipment and blasting to remove overburden and bluestone. Product will be
moved to storage areas within the Life of Mine Boundary for separation, sorting and
palletizing. No other processing of stone material will take place on site. A previously
existing unpermitted 1 acre mine is to be incorporated within the mine boundary.

rechannel approximately 75 feet of Thompson Hollow stream
to stop the migration of the stream into a driveway. Stone rip rap will be placed along

town line.

modify the permit for the existing Rifenburg Pit #2 by
expanding the life-of-mine area by 20.7 acres. The total life-of-mine area will be 58.9
acres. The permittee is also proposing to modify the hours of operations at the mine. In
addition to the current weekday hours, the permittee is proposing to operate on Saturday
from 7 AM - 3 PM. The mine is located south of SR 5, near the intersection with
Kennedy Road.
