Notice Of Public Hearing

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Salina Planning Board has rescheduled the meeting intended for September 16, 2004 and instead will continue the Public Hearing on September 23, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Salina Town Hall, 201 School Road, Liverpool, New York to receive public comments regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Statement in connection with the application Wal-Mart for Subdivision and Site Plan Approval to construct an approximately 203,000 square foot Wal-Mart Supercenter at 7186 Oswego Road, Liverpool, Town of Salina, County of Onondaga, State of New York. People wishing to appear at the hearing may do so in person or by attorney or other representative. The Draft Environmental Impact Statement is available for inspection at the Offices of the Town of Salina Town Clerk, Salina Town Hall, 201 School Road, Liverpool, New York 13088

Public Comment Period: Written comments regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Statement of Wal-Mart will be received, for a period of 10 days, following the close of the Public Hearing at the Offices of the Town of Salina Town Clerk, 201 School Road, Liverpool, NY 13088.


Positive Declaration

Madison County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Worlock Acres Proposed Quarry may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a proposed 67-acre limestone and dolomite quarry on 93.5 acres of land owned by J.B. Quarry, Inc. thomas Oot, President. The action will involves blasting and processing (i.e. crushing and screening) of aggregate for use locally. The project is located on Hilltop on east side of Quarry Road, between Cottons Road and Inhgals Corners Road. Property ownership extends into Town of Lincoln, but proposed mining is confined to Town of Sullivan.
