Notice of Tree Cutting At Scaroon Manor Public Campground

Notice of tree cutting for Phase I, parking lot construction at the Scaroon Manor Public Campground and Day Use Area, as described in the Unit Management Plan (UMP). Parking for day use visitors will be provided by two (2) parking areas located along the main access road convenient to destinations. The parking areas are located to minimize vehicular intrusion into the site. Parking Lots "A" and "B" will serve the beach area and day use picnic sites. Construction of the parking areas will require tree removal. For Parking Lot "A", 11 trees need to be removed; for Parking Lot "B", 198 trees need to be removed. The UMP was approved and adopted in the Final Scaroon Manor Public Campground UMP, signed by Commissioner Crotty August 19, 2002. As required by Commissioners Delegation Memorandum # 84-06.

Notice Of Public Hearing

Warren County - In accordance with Article 2, Section 202 of the New York State Eminent Domain Procedure Law, notice is hereby given of a Public Hearing to discuss the proposed project along County Route 28 in Warren County on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Glens Falls High School Auditorium.

The hearing will outline the purpose, proposed location of the project, and provide other pertinent information, including maps and property descriptions of the property to be acquired and adjacent parcels for the project to be located on County Route 28 (Corinth Road/Main Street/Broad Street) from Big Bay Road in the Town of Queensbury to Hudson Avenue in the City of Glens Falls, Warren County, New York.

Persons may appear in person or by agent and will be given the opportunity to present oral or written statements and to submit other documents concerning the County Route 28 project. Comments will be accepted until September 9, 2004.
