Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application for a permit to replace various existing sewage treatment systems consisting of septic tanks and leach fields due to age, potential failure, upgrading the facilities and limited expansion within the Park.
An approved new sanitary sand filter system will replace an old absorption field (004) and will include lift stations, dosing stations, new septic tank, sand filter and UV disinfection at a discharge rate of 10,000 gpd to the St. Lawrence River.
The permit was updated to reflect existing conditions by correcting the outfall names, the outfall numbers and the related flow noted on the old permit. The permit shows the deletion of two septic tank/leach field systems (010 and 011).
