The applicant has requested
to renew their mining permit and add a modification to
increase the affected area of mining (Life of Mine) from 21 to 38.7 acres, for reclamation
purposes, only. No new mining is being proposed. The expansion will allow
development of appropriate slopes to return the entire area back to agricultural uses. This
expansion will be approximately 300 feet on the west, north and south sides of the
existing mine on the Potter Farm located north of Miller Road, west of Cherry Road,
Sennett (T).

The Town of Richland proposes
to serve up to 400 gallons per minute from existing
groundwater sources to the Water District #1 and Extention #1 through 62,000 linear feet
of new water mains, two storage tanks, treatment facility and appurtenances. The
installation of the new mains will temporarily impact state designated wetlands, protected
streams and the coastal erosion areas. Applications and project plans are available for
review in the Syracuse Office.
