The applicant proposes to
replace 450 feet of vertical timber breakwall with rip-rap. The
upper one half of the timber wall will be removed to achieve a stable slope for the rip-rap
without major lakeward filling.This is an existing commercial facility that provides
dockage for approximately 24 boats. An 8 foot wide removable dock supported on steel
piles will be constructed overtop the rip-rap parallel to the shore . Twelve 4 foot by 24
feet removable docks will be attached to the 8 foot wide dock, perpendicular to the shore
to provide boat dockage. The mooring facility will encopass approximately 14, 400
square feet. All work below mean high water will take place during lake draw down. The
project is located east of Eagle Bay village on the Herkimer/ Hamilton County line.
