Project Description: The action involves The project consists of a subdivision of 25.62 acre project site containing wetlands into five lots, and the construction of one single family dwelling. Lots 1 through 4 are located wholly within the Moderate Intensity Use land use area, and lot 5 is located in both the Moderate Intensity Use and the Rural Use land use areas.

Lot 1 is 5.12 acres in size, is developed by one pre-existing single family dwelling and will be retained. Lot 2 is 3.50 acres in size and is developed by one post-1973 single family dwelling. Lot 3 is 3.70 acres in size and will be developed by one single family dwelling with a conventional on-site wastewater treatment system and an individual onsite well water supply. Lot 4 is 2.18 acres in size, is vacant, contains wetlands and will be conveyed as a non-building lot to an adjoining landowner. Lot 5 is 10.5 acres in size, contains wetlands and also will be conveyed as a non-building lot to an adjoining landowner.

Project Title: Town of Brighton

Project Description: The Town of Brighton modified their application modification to construct of a one-story, thirty-six foot by forty foot, salt storage building in addition to the project as originally proposed. The roof ridge of the salt storage building will be approximately 30 feet above the existing grade in the vicinity of the foundation of the structure. The project as originally proposed and noticed to the public is described as follows: The project consists of the construction of a new Town of Brighton Highway Maintenance Garage. The project also includes the approval of the Town’s mining plan on the project site. The mining is an existing use that provides winter road sand for the Town’s winter maintenance program for Town roads. The existing Town maintenance garage will be demolished and removed from the site as part of the project. The Town is currently under contract to purchase a 4± acre parcel of land that will be merged with the Town’s existing parcel of land and will be utilized for the project. The new maintenance facility will be served by an individual on-site wastewater treatment system and well. Stormwater management and vegetative screening plans have been prepared for the project.

Project Description: The project consists of a greater than 25% expansion of an existing sand and gravel extraction. The life of mine involves eight phases to affect 36.9 acres of the 47± acre project site. Excavation of each of the eight phases is expected to last ten years; therefore, the life of mine is approximately eighty years. Equipment to be used within the pit includes a bulldozer, a loader and a portable screener/crusher. Mine reclamation will be an on-going activity. Wetlands exist along the mine’s westerly border and are associated with a small stream. A 100 foot buffer between the wetlands and mining activities will be maintained.
