Nassau County - The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Great Neck Estates, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Application for Incentive Zoning Permit Approval Proposed G.N. Properties, LLC Project may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. G.N. Properties, LLC has applied to the Incorporated Village of Great Neck Estates for an incentive zoning permit to allow construction of a multiple family residential project in the Business D District, containing a proposed fifty (50) apartments, and accessory uses customarily incidental to such use. The project is located at 212-230 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck Estates, New York.

Nassau County - The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of North Hills, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Applications for Repeal of Covenants and Subdivision, The Chatham at North Hills Phase II. The combined public hearing on the DEIS and on the applications for the repeal of covenants and for the subdivision of the subject property will be held on August 18, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at the Village Hall of the Incorporated Village of North Hills, One Shelter Rock Road, Roslyn, New York. Public comments on the DEIS will be accepted at the public hearing, and written comments on the DEIS will also be accepted by the contact person listed above until August 31, 2004. As part of an incentive zoning proposal, the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of North Hills has received applications to permit the repeal of covenants and restrictions (classifying the affected property as “open space area” with a scenic and conservation easement) and to permit the subdivision of 15.87 acres of the subject property to accommodate the development of 62 dwelling units (The Chatham at North Hills Phase II). The development is proposed to be served by public water. Sanitary sewage is proposed to be accommodated by the Bay Park Water Pollution Control Plant. The project is located on the South Side of Power House Road (South Service Road of Long Island Expressway), east of New Hyde Park Road Incorporated Village of North Hills, Nassau County.

Suffolk County - The Town of Islip Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Greenview Properties Senior Community Change of Zone Application. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on August 12, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town of Islip Town Hall, 655 Main Street, Islip, NY. Comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted by the Contact person until September 13, 2004. The action involves a change of zone of a 26.69 acre parcel from Residence B District to Residence C District to permit the development of 200 senior citizen rental units and 40 senior ownership townhouses. The subject property is currently vacant containing mostly woodland with some brushland at the site frontage along Sunrise Highway. A private access road will be incorporated into the project. The project is located at the northeast corner of Sunrise Highway and Connetquot Avenue, Hamlet of Islip Terrace, Town of Islip.
