Project Title: Availability of Brownfield Cleanup Project Remedial Work Plan for Comment
Former Endicott–Johnson Ranger Paracord Facility, C-704041
Project Location: CFJ Boulevard and Lester Avenue, Johnson City, New York
Brief Project Description: This site is approximately a 12 acre portion of the former Endicott–Johnson Ranger Paracord property that was previously used to manufacture shoes. The site has been investigated under the Voluntary Cleanup Program, and contamination was detected in site soils and groundwater. Site contaminants include volatile organic compounds, semi–volatile organic compounds and heavy metals. Based on the findings of the investigation, the site owner’s consultant proposes a combination of source removal and an engineered protective barrier with institutional controls to address site contamination. The remedial portion of this project is being addressed under the Brownfield Cleanup Program.
There is a 45 day comment period, for the Remedial Work Plan, commencing with the date of this publication and ending on July 31, 2004.

Madison County – The City of Oneida Common Council, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed City of Oneida Zoning Ordinance Amendment will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposed amendment which would eliminate the residency requirement in the R–3 Residential Zone for professional offices allowed as a Conditional Use. It also includes the possible location of a professional office at 410 Main Street, in an existing building currently used as a professional office.

Oswego County – The Town of Volney Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Riverview Business Park, LLC–Application for Subdivision Approval will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves an application for Subdivision Approval to subdivide the existing 423 acres into four parcels at their properties located at 1850 County Route 57 (former Miller Brewery) in the Town of Volney.
