Negative Declaration

Lewis County - The Town of Lowville Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Wal-Mart Supercenter will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a +/- 106,388 square foot Wal-Mart Supercenter, a 6 dispenser (12 fueling position) gas station, and the preparation of one out lot, all on a 19.4-acre portion (site) of an 80-acre lot in the Town of Lowville, New York. The proposed action includes the development of the associated utilities, drives, parking, as well as improvements to NYS Route 12 and the extension of water and sewer utilities to the project. The Supercenter and gas station would be constructed in the first phase of the project, with the construction on the out lot being completed in phase 2. The proposed project is to be located on the south side of NYS Route 12, west of the intersection of Route 12 and Ross Road, in the Town of Lowville, Lewis County, NY.
