Negative Declaration

Ulster County - The Planning Board of the City of Kingston, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Kirkland Hotel will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the restoration and renovations to the former Kirkland Hotel as a mixed use. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and will house a restaurant/retail in the basement and first floor, offices on the second and third floors and rental housing on the 4th floor. The project is located at 247-251 and 253-255 Clinton Avenue, Kingston, NY.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Draft Genric EIS And Public Hearing

Ulster County - The Common Council of the City of Kingston, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of Comprehensive Plan and Implementing Mixed Use Overlay Zoning Districts. A public hearing on the Draft Generic EIS will be held on May 27, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Common Council's Chambers at 420 Broadway, City Hall, Kingston, NY. Comments on the Draft GEIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until June 15, 2004 at 4:30 p.m. The action involves adoption of a Comprehensive Plan Element and Mixed Use Overlay Zoning Districts to address an identified need for the reuse of industrial and commercial buildings in the Midtown area and the Stockade District of the City of Kingston to help create mixed use neighborhoods and provide additional rental housing, including affordable housing. The project is located in the City of Kingston, NY.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Final EIS

Orange County - The Board of Trustees of the Village of Kiryas Joel, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Catskill Aqueduct Connection. The action involves construction of a tap of the Catskill Aqueduct and a transmission main to transport water supplies to the Village of Kiryas Joel. The project will include a water treatment plant and pumping station. The project is located from the NYC Catskill Aqueduct connection in New Windsor, NY along Riley Rd, State Rt. 94, Clove Rd., County Rt. 27, State Rt. 208, and State Rt. 17 to its termination in the Village of Kiryas Joel, NY.
