The applicant proposes to
construct a 26 by 36 foot boathouse on the north shore of
Second Lake. The heigth of the structure will be approximately 19 feet above mean high
water. The boathouse will be constructed over an excavation into the shoreline requiring
the removalof 160 cubic yards of material. Approximately 60 feet of existing shoreline
will be disturbed by the excavation. Approximately 130 linear feet of rip-rap will be
placed along the new shoreline.

The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation proposes to modify the
State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permit for the existing
discharge from the air stripper system at Lockheed Martin Corporation's French
Road Facility. The modifications include:
A new monitoring requirement has been added for four (4) organic
parameters
(i.e. BTEX compounds) which were detected in the ground water.
The use of a water treatment chemical for well screen cleaning
and
redevelopment will be authorized.
