ENB Region 1 Completed Applications 05/12/2004

The applicant proposes to construct a road extension project.  The proposal is to extend the existing four-lane configuration of Pratt Boulevard west of Glen Cove Avenue and south of the existing Glen Cove firehouse.  The extension  is proposed to use the approximate path of what is now Charles Street and include a 140' elevated section.  An existing weir structure under the elevated section is proposed for complete renovation and a pedestrian/bike path is proposed to pass along the weir under the elevated section.  The proposed project would encroach on some freshwater wetland adjacent area and some tidal wetlands and tidal wetlands adjacent area.  The applicant proposes as mitigation, increased stormwater retention and recharge with treatment for grease/oil and sediment; freshwater wetland plantings and tidal wetland plantings. The project is located on the south side of Pratt Park, at the terminus of  Pratt Boulevard in the City of Glen Cove, Nassau County.

Applicant proposes to construct one (1) 20" x 14" diamater public supply well with the capaciy to pump 700 gallons per minute. The well will be approximately 430 feet deep and will be located at the Dune Road North well field, Village of Westhampton Dunes, Town of Southampton.

The applicant proposes to construct a shed, a fence along the north property line and a fence along the south property.  Each fence is proposed to be constructed in NYSDEC regulated vegetated tidal wetlands along Senekes Creek.  The project is located at:  45 Inwood Road, Center Moriches, Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County.  SCTM # 200886424.

Applicant proposes to install a new well for the purpose of supplying water for rest room use at the reception center.  The well will be 4" in diameter and have the capacity to pump 20 gallons per minute.  The well will be installed to a depth of 100 feet with an estimated daily pumpage of 500 gallons.  The propoerty is located at Montauk Point Lighthouse, 2000 Montauk Highway, Montauk, Town of East Hampton.

The applicant proposes to remove an existing fixed catwalk, ramp and float and install a 4' x 6' platform off the existing bulkhead and a 4' x 14' ramp; relocate 7 existing pilings and add one new piling; and, dredge a 12' x 24' area at the seaward end of the proposed dock to a depth of 24" below apparent low water.  Resultant 20 cubic yards of dredged material will be trucked to an approved upland site.  The property  is located at 16 Little Neck Road, Southampton, County of Suffolk on Old Fort Pond.
