Consolidated SPDES Renewals
Wayne County - The Town of Huron, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Huron Water District No. 3 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves providing public water service to approximately 96 properties within the Town of Huron Water District No. 3, and provide an alternate source of water supply for the Shaker Heights community. Construction will involve the installation of 23,990 feet of watermain along Ridge Road, Shaker Tract Road, Speigel Drive, Speigel Parkway, Bridger Lane, and Ann Lee Drive Road. A portion of the watermain construction along Ridge Road will take place in the Town of Sodus, however, all of the properties included within the service area are located in the Town of Huron. Residents in these areas are dependent upon individual groundwater supplies that historically have produced very low yields of poor quality water. The project is located on portions of Ridge Road, Shaker Tract Road, Speigel Drive, Speigel Parkway, Bridger Lane, and Ann Lee Drive Road, Town of Huron, Wayne County, NY.

Steuben County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Hakes C and D Landfill Expansion may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted until June 7, 2004. The action involves a 35.5 acre expansion of the Hakes C and D Landfill and an overfill of the existing permitted landfill (23.2 acres) to a final elevation of 1818 feet (NGVD).
