The applicant proposes a
temporary modification of the sequence of mining specified in
the approved Mined Land-Use Plan for removing bank-run material from Mining Area
#3, and to use as the haul road, a former farm road that accesses NYS Route 98. Mine
Area #3 is approximately 1,000 feet north of Route 98 and 1,800 feet west from Laidlaw
Road (Cattaraugus County Route 80) and the haul road intersection is approximately
1,200 feet west of the Laidlaw Road/Route 98 intersection.

the southwest corner of the existing mine.
