NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 120-w of the New York General Municipal Law, the ISLIP RESOURCE RECOVERY AGENCY (“IRRA”), Suffolk County, New York intends to solicit proposals for a SYSTEM INTEGRATION for the IRRA’s MACARTHUR RESOURCE RECOVERY FACILITY located in Ronkonkoma, New York.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. IRRA 2004-5
A draft Request for Proposals consisting of the Advertisement for Proposals, Information for Proposers, Form of Proposal, Form of Proposal Bond, Form of Contract, Form of Performance Bond, Form of Labor and Material Payment Bond, General Specifications, Special Conditions, Drawings, Specifications and Addenda may be obtained or examined on or after April23,2004, at the Islip Resource Recovery Agency, 401 Main Street, Islip, New York, during the business hours of 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.
The draft Request for Proposals shall be subject to a sixty-day comment period. All comments concerning the draft Request for Proposals shall be addressed to Paul DiMaria, P.E., IRRA Chief Engineer, at 401 Main Street, Islip, New York. Such comments must be received at the office of the Islip Resource Recovery Agency , 401 Main St., Islip, New York no later than 4:00 P.M. prevailing time on June 22, 2004.
There will be a mandatory pre-proposal conference and site meeting held on, June 24, 2004, 10:00 A.M. at the MacArthur Resource Recovery Facility (4001 Veterans Memorial Highway, Ronkonkoma, New York 11779).
A charge of $100.00, in the form of a Certified Check or Money Order, made payable to the Islip Resource Recovery Agency, will be required for each set of Information for Proposers, Form of Proposal, Form of Contract, Plans and Detailed Specifications. All proposers and non-proposers returning such set in good condition within 30 days after the date of receipt of bids, will be refunded the sum of $100.00.
Each proposal must be accompanied by either a Certified Check on a solvent bank or Trust Company acceptable to the IRRA, or by a bid bond from a surety prepared in such form as is acceptable to the IRRA. The Certified Check or bid bond shall be in the amount of 10% of the total proposal price and be made payable to the Islip Resource Recovery Agency as assurance that the Contract will be executed, if awarded to such proposer.
The IRRA reserves the right to reject any and all proposals in whole or in part, to negotiate with any proposer, to waive any informality in any or all proposals and to accept the proposal or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the IRRA after all proposals have been examined and checked. No proposal shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after being submitted. In the event the proposals are rejected or no proposals are received, the IRRA Secretary is authorized to re-advertise for proposals upon direction of the President.
Attention of proposers is particularly called to the requirement as to conditions of employment to be observed. The minimum wage rates to be paid for under the contract and all applicable local and State laws.
Suffolk County - The Planning Board of the Town of Islip, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed amended Terminal Area Expansion and Related Improvements - Airport Layout Plan (original Negative Declaration published July 11, 2002) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the following amended actions:
The project is located at Long Island MacArthur Airport, 100 Arrival Avenue, Ronkonkoma, NY.

Suffolk County - The Town Board of the Town of Riverhead, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Special Permit of Tanger Properties, L.P. (Tanger I expansion) may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves construction of 136,566 sq. ft. of retail space and related site improvements as an expansion of the existing 312,000 sq. ft. factory outlet facility located on a 47.7 ac. parcel zoned Business F. The project is located on the north side of West Main Street, approximately 1,200 ft. east of River road, Riverhead Hamlet.
