The applicant proposes to
add 12.6 acres the existing 11.5 acre sand and gravel mine
known as the Kiantone Gravel Pit. No other changes to the mining operations and
reclamation objective (agricultural field) are proposed. The expansion area is west and
northwest from the existing mine boundaries, on newly acquired property. The mine is
located west of Chautauqua County Route 49 and north of Chautauqua County Route 28,
Busti-Stillwater Road with the mine entrance on Busti-Stillwater Road.

and 4136 square feet of the wetland adjacent area. Approximately 8630 square feet of
wetland mitigation area is proposed. The project is located on south of Williston Road,
approximately 3,800 feet east of its intersection with Three Rod Road. Application
materials are available for public review and comment at the Region 9 Buffalo Office.
