The applicant proposes to
install two 18" x 12' culverts within Freshwater Wetland PR-27
in the Town of Perinton north of Furman Road just east of the Monroe-Wayne County
boundary. The culler will be installed in existing logging roads in order to improve access
to the forest land enhancement projects and timber harvest on two properties. The
converts will be installed at grade within distinct existing channels and fill within the
wetland will be minimized.

The Department has received
an application from the Town of West Union to create West
Union Water District #1 and to take a supply of water estimated to average 7,500 gallons
per day for use in the hamlet of Rexville by installation of Well #1 and Well #2, each
having a capacity of 30 gallons per minute. This project includes installation of 4,310
linear feet of 8 inch watermain and 1,670 linear feet of 4 inch watermain and
appurtenances, filtration and chlorination treatment systems and 30,000 gallon storage
tank to serve 25 residences. The Department has made a tentative decision to approve
this application and is seeking public comment prior to making a final decision on permit
issuance.

The applicant proposes to
add +/-36.6 acres of reserves to the existing 44 acre life-of
mine at the DiSanto Farm Area sand and gravel mine. The mine is located at 11400 Lock
Road, between C.R. 150 and the NYS Barge Canal. Mining operations in the expansion
area will continue as a traditional "cut and haul" extraction of stone and gravel, at a
maximum peak rate of approximately 100 tons per week. Reclamation in the expansion
area will return the mined area to graded, stabilized open land re-vegetated with suitable
trees and shrubs.

Applicant proposes to dredge
up to 60,000 cubic yards of material from the Great Sodus
Bay Harbor Federal Navigation channel and dispose of it at the approved open lake
disposal site approximately 1.8 miles North northeast of the channel entrance. The
applicant has evaluated the sediments to be dredged and determined that they meet the
Federal guidelines for dredging and open lake disposal. Channel dredging is planned to
be conducted to a depth of -14 feet Low Water Datum and an over dredge of 1 foot to
insure minimum depth. Restrictive dates are proposed which prohibit dredging/disposal
from March 15 until July 1 of a given year. Work is expected to be completed no later
than October 1. Draft permit is to be issued for a five year period.
