Project Description:
Proposed construction of a road with two culverts across Freshwater Wetland # GA-3 (class II) and a subtributary of Little Snook Kill (Class C(T)), to access the 49 lot Palmerton Heights Residential Subdivision. The road would impact 0.37 acre of wetland and 1.4 acres of adjacent area. As mitigation, the applicant proposes to remove a farm road across the wetland, restore 0.07 acre of wetland, and discontinue mowing to enhance three acres of wetland adjacent area. The project is located on the east side of Old Saratoga Road (one mile north of the Moreau-Wilton town line), Town of Moreau.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.
SEQR Lead Agency:
Moreau Town Planning Board
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:
Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than May 7 2004.
