additional 90,500 cubic yards of material will continue to be processed on site in the same
manner as the current operation. The lake will be used for private recreation after
completion of all mining and reclamation of the site.

whole lake treatment of Pine Pond and adjacent portions of
state-designated Freshwater Wetlands LC-11 and LC 12 with the aquatic herbicide Sonar
(active ingredient: fluridone) to control Eurasion watermilfoil. The site is located on the
east side of Gipsy Trail Road (Co. Rte. 41), near the intersection with Beach Drive. Up to
three low-dose applications would be made within the 75 acre lake to maintain the
required concentration of 10-15 parts per billion during the 45-day treatmet period. In
addition, copper sulfate will be applied, if needed, to control algae. All applications will
be performed by a NYS certified pesticide applicator, in accordance with NYS registered
pesticide label directions.
