Monroe County - The Town of Brighton Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Mansions at Brighton. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on April 28, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Brighton Town Hall, 2300 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until May 10, 2004. The action involves the construction of a 160 unit multi-family housing development to be located on 33.7 acres +/- acre parcel of land commonly known as "The Maxion Estate Property." The project is located on the south side of Elmwood Avenue across from Elmwood Manor Apartments and east of the Town of Brighton/City of Rochester municipal border in the Town of Brighton, Town of Brighton, Monroe County, New York (Tax ID# 136.14-1-1.1).

Monroe County - The Town of Caledonia Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Empire Transload Corporation: Liquid Fertilizer & Diesel Facilities. A public hearing on the Draft Generic EIS will be held on April 28, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the J.W. Jones Hall, 366 Leicester Road (Route 36), Caledonia, NY. Written comments on the Draft Generic EIS will be accepted until May 12, 2004. The action involves a Type I Project consisting of: (1) a liquid fertilizer transload facility where liquid fertilizer components will be unloaded from railroad tanker cars, stored, processed, blended and transferred to trucks for distribution to farms and retail fertilizer operations; and (2) an adjoining diesel transload facility consisting of structures and equipment for transferring diesel fuel from railroad tanker cars to railroad locomotives, truck fuel tanks and tanker trucks, including temporary diesel storage tanks and a small convenience store for employees and customers of the diesel transload and adjoining feed and fertilizer facilities. The project is located 2773 Caledonia-Leroy Road, Caledonia, NY.
