Madison County - The Planning Board of the Town of Cazenovia, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Major Subdivision Summerfields Phase IV will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. There will be a 30 day public comment period commencing with the date of this notice. The action involves the extension of existing Summerfields Subdivision to include 23 additional residential lots and approximately 3300 linear feet of new subdivision roadway, with associated utility improvements. The project is located on Summerfields Road in the Town of Cazenovia.

Chenango/Broome Counties - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Hastings Pit Mine Expansion - Alfred Gorick Co., Inc. may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves an expansion of an existing 21.9 acre mine in the Town of Afton, Chenango County by approximately 5 acres and into an adjacent parcel in the Town of Colesville, Broome County by approximately 40 acres. Total mine area will be 67.5 acres of 159 acres owned by the applicant. A new haul road is proposed to service the existing and expanded mine areas. Processing is proposed on-site. The project is located on the east side of County Road 26 at the Afton/Coleville Town and County lines.
