| Project is Located: | Hartsville, Steuben County |
| Project Description: | |

The applicant proposes a modification to
the current mining permit for the Blades /
Amidon sand and gravel mine. The mine will continue to operate as a traditional
surface extraction of sand and gravel. Processing of material will be done on-site using
a portable crusher and screen. No wash plant operation is proposed. The modification
will provide for the construction of earthen berms to further isolate mining and
processing areas, allow an additional 30 feet of excavation below the current mine floor,
and will increase the number of daily truck trips from the mine to an allowable maximum
of 160 loads per day. The mine site is east of Co. Route 64, between C.R. 64 and
Morton Hill Road. The current reviewed life-of-mine area is 30.3 acres.
