Ulster County - The Planning Board of the City of Kingston, as lead agency has determined that the proposed Sailor's Cove on the Hudson may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves construction of 365 residential units: 186 condominium, 78 senior units, 41 townhouses and 60 apartments. Additionally there are recreational facilities, public space and commercial/office space planned for development. The project is planned out for 5 or 6 phases, with full build out in 5 years. The project is located at 200 North Street (Tax Map ID 48.84-1-4).

Rockland County - The Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Sterling Mine Road Active Adult Community. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on April 20, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at the Town of Ramapo, Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Rampo, NY. Comments are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until May 3, 2004. The action involves creation of a new zoning district - the Active Adult Residential Development District intending to foster the development of specialized housing for persons 55 years of age and older on a 241 acre site. They have proposed 292 single family semi-attached units in a cluster arrangement to preserve open spaces, steep slopes, wetlands, watercourses and as much of the current site in its natural state as possible. Roadways have been designed to follow contours to the maximum extent possible. Construction is proposed in six phases with a completion date of 2010. 157 acres of open space are proposed.

Westchester County - The Planning Board of the Town of Cortlandt, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Abee Rose Estates. A public hearing will be held on April 13, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at the Vincent F. Nyberg General Meeting Room at the Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady Street, Cortlandt Manor, NY. The action involves a proposed 30 lot subdivision and other related site improvements on 128 acres. The project is located on the south side of Maple Avenue and on the east side of Dickerson Road and is designated on the Town of Cortlandt Tax Maps as Section 45.10, Block 2, Lot 1, Section 45.14, Block 3, Lot 1 and Section 45.15, Block 1, Lot 1.
