The appplicant proposes
to modify his existing 39.7 acre mining permit to mine 5 feet
deeper than currently permitted and to change the hours of operation from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The total allowed mining acreage would be reduced
as a result of some acreage dedicated for a building lot. Other proposed changes include
narrowing set backs from access roads and installing a 50 foot wide berm.
