The applicant proposes to
replace a deteriorating bridge over Brush Creek (BIN 3317190)
on Hamlin-Parma Townline Road within Freshwater Wetland PM-1 (I). The purpose of
the project is to provide a stream crossing that has adequate structural capacity and meets
current design standards, as well as, improves the existing hydraulic opening and scour
and erosion protection. The proposed structure will be constructed along the same
alignment as the existing structure. The roadway construction will be limited to what is
required to raise the profile to provide an adequate hydraulic opening. The proposed
bridge is a prestressed concrete adjacent slab with a conventional abutment supported on
H-piles. The proposed cast-in-place wing wall will be flared and supported on H-piles.
The proposed span will be 39.4 feet. Stone fill will be placed along the banks of Brush
Creek to protect the new bridge structure from scouring.
