    The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has received an application to re-issue the following EPA minor Private/Commercial/Institutional State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (P/C/I SPDES) permit.  DEC has made a tentative determination to re-issue this permit for a five-year period, maintaining the current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements.  This permit involves the surface discharge of 24,000 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste to the Robin Creek.

The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a renewal and modification to an existing SPDES permit for an existing discharge of a maximum of 21,200 gallons per day of treated sanitary effluent from existing leach pits, septic tanks, and leach fields to groundwater.  The system services a mobile home park with approximately 80 trailers. The file is available for review and comment at the Region 8 office.

The applicant proposes to replace a deteriorating bridge over Brush Creek (BIN 3317190) on Hamlin-Parma Townline Road within Freshwater Wetland PM-1 (I).  The purpose of the project is to provide a stream crossing that has adequate structural capacity and meets current design standards, as well as, improves the existing hydraulic opening and scour and erosion protection.  The proposed structure will be constructed along the same alignment as the existing structure.  The roadway construction will be limited to what is required to raise the profile to provide an adequate hydraulic opening. The proposed bridge is a prestressed concrete adjacent slab with a conventional abutment supported on H-piles. The proposed cast-in-place wing wall will be flared and supported on H-piles. The proposed span will be 39.4 feet. Stone fill will be placed along the banks of Brush Creek to protect the new bridge structure from scouring.

The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a new SPDES permit for a proposed discharge of a maximum of 500 gallons per day of treated sanitary effluent from an aerobic treatment system, with chlorination, and raised absorption bed to an overflow pipe to Oak Orchard Creek.  The system will service a 4-bedroom apartment house and marina bathroom.  The file is available for review and comment at the Region 8 office.

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve a modification to the SPDES permit for an existing industrial discharge to Outfall 002 which includes contact cooling water, condensate and boiler blowdown and stormwater from the US Salt facility on Salt Point Road which produces various grades of salt.  The modification includes the elimination of action levels for copper, benzene, toluene, and xylenes at Outfall 002 based on Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) data review. In addition, concentration values for Total Suspended Solids (TSS) and chlorides will be added to the  DMRs.  This file is available for review and comment at NYSDEC Region 8 offices in Avon and Bath.

The applicant proposes to demolish the existing 21' x 31' cottage and replace it with a 23' x 33' two story cottage in the same location on his property located at 3461 Brown Farm Rd. in the Town of Fayette, Seneca County.  The property is within the 100' adjacent area of the Class I, state regulated freshwater wetland, UN-1.

The applicant proposes to construct two single family residences in the regulated adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland ON-47 within 50 feet of the wetland proper.  The project site was previously graded under a permit for  multiple family homes for which the work was not completed.  Although no addition of fill will be needed, the applicant will excavate for crawl spaces beneath the houses.  The excavated material will be be disposed of on site outside the wetland adjacent area in what is the proposed front yards.  The project is located in the Town of Walworth in Wayne County on Fairway 18.
