The applicant has proposed
the operation of a used oil transfer, storage and processing
(for recycling and disposal off-site) facility. The waste oil storage facility proposes to
accept the following materials: non-hazardous solid and liquid waste, which includes oil,
oil/water mixtures, oily sludges, pit sludges and grit, and oil contaminated soil and debris.
A 60' by 81' addition to the existing building will be constructed that will house two (2)
above-ground storage tanks; one 8,000 gallon tank for accumulation and storage of used
oil; and one (1) 10,000 gallon storage tank for the accumulation and storage of oily
waters. The facility anticipates an annual throughput of 150,000 to 200,000 gallons-per-year of
oils and oil/water mixtures.
