Article 24 Freshwater Wetlands |
| Project is Located: | Union Vale, Dutchess County |
| Project Description: | |
|
The Applicant proposes the
construction of an approximately 1150 foot long, 18 foot
wide road across Freshwater Wetland VB-20, a Class III wetland, and its 100-foot
adjacent area to access a three-lot residential subdivision. The site is located on the west
side of North Parliman Road, approximately 1800 feet north of its intersection with
Walsh Road. The proposed road will follow a narrower, existing gravel drive located
within a previously disturbed portion of the wetland and adjacent area. In addition, a dry
hydrant will be installed in the pond located at the southernmost end of the wetland. To
mitigate the filling and disturbance of approximately 0.64 acres of the wetland, 1.28 acres
of wetlands will be created within an isolated upland knoll area within the wetland.
