Notice of proposed rule making for 6NYCRR Part 41 relating to the sanitary condition of shellfish lands. The proposed rule making notice will be published in issue 9 of the State Register, dated 3/3/2004.

Suffolk County - The Planning Board of the Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Mather Hospital - Parking lot expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves expansion of the existing off-street parking facilities. Currently there are 1,014 spaces and the project calls for the addition of 104 spaces for a total of 1,118 spaces. The project is located in the Professional Office P-O Zoning District at 75 North Country Road, on the north side of North Country Road (S.R. 25A) at the intersection of Belle Terre Road and North Country Road, in the Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson, Suffolk County, New York and is identified as Suffolk County Tax Parcel Number 206-017-03-003.002.

Suffolk County - The Town of East Hampton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Talmage Minor Subdivision may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the subdivision of a vacant, wooded, 5.9 acre parcel located on Wolf's Hole Road, an unopened Trustee Road, into four commercial lots that will permit a wide range of uses, including up to 8 commercial industrial or up to 16 service commercial uses. The parcel is zoned Commercial Industrial/Water Recharge overlay District and is also located in the Pine Barrens and South fork Special Groundwater Protection Area. A 25,768 square foot reserved area is proposed. Access to the project would necessitate opening Wolf's Hole Road, an unopened 33' wide Trustee Road for a distance of up to 7,200LF. The site is part of an undisturbed block of woodland totaling over 600 acres, with approximately 250 acres preserved as parkland surrounding the parcel on three sides. The project is located on Wolf's Hole Road, East Hampton.

Suffolk County - The Village of Islandia Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Islandia Comprehensive Plan Update may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The Village of Islandia has completed a review of its current Comprehensive Plan, dated 1995, and is considering certain amendments to same. The proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments include: updating of inventory information to reflect changes in the Village over the past nine years; creation of a new Multi-Family (MF-18) Overlay District and the mapping of a series of contiguous tax lots comprising a total of 12.7 acres into this new overlay district; and the rezoning of a limited number of other properties to other existing zoning districts. The project covers the entire area in the Village of Islandia.
