remove a debris and sediment blockage within the channel of
an unnamed tributary of Trap Brook to alleviate flooding problems in the Hook Road,
Martz Road, and County Road 8 area of the Town of Farmington. Work involves
removal of materials and upland disposal or transport of materials to town landfill or
placement at an adjacent upland site. Some re-establishment of stream channel/channel
gradient will be conducted as part of the project. Work is within a Class C stream and
100 ft. adjacent area of NYS Freshwater Wetland MC-7 (II).

The Department has received
an application for Bramwell Park Subdivision located on
the west side of Strong Road in the Town of Victor. This project is a 16 lot subdivision
with some development proposed in the regulated 100 foot adjacent area of NYS
Freshwater Wetland VT-1. This project also includes the extension of two 24 inch
culverts to 27 inches for a sewer line crossing of an un-named tributary of Irondequoit
Creek to serve the proposed subdivision. The Department has made a tentative
determination to approve this application but is seeking comments prior to making a final
decision on permit issuance.

The applicants proposes to develop a new
11.8 acre surface sand and gravel mine at their property on the east side of Layton Street Road,
900 feet south of Debusse Road in the Town of Lyons, Wayne County. The mine will operate as a
traditional surface extraction of outwash
sand and gravels. Mining is not proposed for below the local water table. Excavation will
be done by mechanical equipment, standard for
sand and gravel mining operations and materials will be processed with a portable screen having a maximum
capacity of 125 tons-per-hour. Final reclamation will restore the site to agricultural use and
will include the replacement of stockpiled subsoil and topsoil, and
reseeding with an approved USDA SCS seed mixture. The reviewed life-of-mine area is 11.8 (LOM)
acres.
