The applicant has applied
for installation of a complete water suppy and distribution
system to serve Rutland Water District # 1. The service area will provide approximately
122,000 gallons of water per day to residences bordering NYS Route 3 from the Village
of Black River to the Champion corporate boundary, NYS Route 971V from NYS Route
3 North approximately 915', the Hamlet of Felts Mills, Burnup, Cemetery, Lester, Perrigo
and Staplin Roads, Rex Drive, School Street and Taylor Park. The District contains 486
hookups and nearly 550 Equivalent Dwelling Units. Improvements include installation of
10 and 8 inch water mains, fire hydrants, booster pumps, master meter pits, service
laterals, individual service meters and appurtances.

construct a 22,400 linear feet of new water main. Directional
boring will be utilized to cross tributaries H-240-223-9-2 and H-240-223-9-2-1, both are
standards C(T) streams. There will be a temporary disturbance to 9,000 square feet of
Freshwater Wetland UW-7, a Class II, 56 acre wetland. There will be an additional
temporary disturbance to 13,000 square feet of adjacent area.The project parallels Woods
Highway, Walesville, Bell, and Clark Mills Roads .

for the reconstruction and ratification of the existing water
supply system supplying the Hamlet of Wanakena. The water company provides
approximately 15,600 gallons of water per day to approximately 78 residences within the
hamlet. Work will include improvements to an existing spring source, installation of
5500' of 4" HDPE water main, individual 1" service laterals, new chlorination system,
treated water storage tank, booster pumps, and construction of a 20' X 30' treatment
building.
