The Department has made
a tentative determination to approve this application for a
SPDES permit to allow a surface discharge of up to 500 gallons of treated sanitary
wastewater per day to a Tributary of Perry Creek, Class C. The proposed aerobic system
will replace the failing septic system for this single family dwelling. This site is located
on Higgens Trail. A draft permit containing proposed effluent limits and monitoring
requirements has been prepared by the Department for this discharge.
The permittee will be
required to maintain records and report data to verify compliance
with the permit conditions and discharge limits. The application and draft permit(SPDES
# NY-0270768) are available for public inspection at the NYS Department of
Environmental Conservation (DEC), Region 3 New Paltz office.
