Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application for a SPDES permit to allow a surface discharge of up to 500 gallons of treated sanitary wastewater per day to a Tributary of Perry Creek, Class C.  The proposed aerobic system will replace the failing septic system for this single family dwelling.  This site is located on Higgens Trail.  A draft permit containing proposed effluent limits and monitoring requirements has been prepared by the Department for this discharge.

The permittee will be required to maintain records and report data to verify compliance with the permit conditions and discharge limits.  The application and draft permit(SPDES # NY-0270768) are available for public inspection at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), Region 3 New Paltz office.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.
SEQR Lead Agency:
None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:
Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Feb 20 2004.
