The Department has made a tentative determination to approve an application for a permit for the surface discharge of 6000gpd of treated wastewater from the closed Town of Coeymans landfill to an unnamed tributary of Hannacrois Creek. The discharge is proposed from the Town of Coeymans Landfill Leachate Treatment Facility on Jarvis Road in the Town of Coeymans, Albany County and is a modification of the current permit which authorizes the discharge of 3000gpd. A draft permit is available for review and comment at the Region 4 Office. SPDES # NY 024-2101.

The Applicant is seeking a SPDES permit for an existing discharge of 13,800 gallons per day of treated sanitary wastewater to groundwater from an existing septic system and leach field located at Walter B. Howard Elementary School, 1478 Route 20, West Lebanon, N. Y. (Town of New Lebanon, Columbia County).

The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a permit for a State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit under Article 17 of the Environmental Conservation Law.  This tentative determination indicates that the discharge regulated under this statute is considered to satisfy regulatory standards for permit issuance, based on information available to the Department at this time.  As a tentative determination, the Departments seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.  As such, this tentative determination does not signify Department approval for or endorsement of the activity for which a permit is sought or for the overall proposed project.

A draft permit is available for inspection and comment at the Region 4 office.

The applicant proposes to construct a clubhouse, bumper boat pond and additional parking spaces at an existing family entertainment complex, which would result in the placement of fill in 0.133 acres of wetlands (including 0.0094 acres disturbed in 1999), and elininating 130 lf of stream channel/drainage ditch.  The project is located at the Family Entertainment Complex, 97 North Greenbush Road, Town of North Greenbush, Rensselaer County.
