ENB Region 1 Completed Applications 01/07/2004

The applicant proposes to remove 80 linear feet of deteriorated bulkhead including 84 linear feet around existing boat ramp and finger floats.  Excavate 935 cubic yards of material from a 55' x 80' area consisting of approximately 3650 square feet of upland area and 760 square feet of shoals/mud flats to 4 ft. below mean low water.  Resultant material will be trucked off site.  Construct 80 linear feet of new bulkhead and a 20 ft. south return 55 ft. landward of the existing bulkhead location and place 100 cubic yards of gravel as backfill and around perimeter of parking area.  Remove and replace a 30 ft. wavebreak and install an 8' x 150' main float with an 8' x 70' "T" float at the seaward end, 12 finger floats and 20 pilings.  Excavate 20 cubic yards of existing concrete and truck off site. The property is located at 3000 Whaleneck Drive, Merrick, Town of Hempstead, County of Nassau on Merrick Creek.

The applicant proposes to install one 20" x 10" diameter Public Supply well (no. 3) with the capacity to pump 1,300 GPM.  The well will be approximately 650 feet deep and sill supply the Port Jefferson Farmingville High water supply system.  The project is located at the Boyle Road well field. Terryville, Town of Brookhaven.

The applicant proposes to remove existing pilings, walkway, shower and stairs, and install a pool with deck, shower and accessory building.  The majority of the property and all of the proposed work is located seaward of the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area Line.  A variance request from the development restrictions of Part 505 has been submitted.  The project is located at 21 Keough Walk, Fair Harbor, Fire Island, Town of Islip, Suffolk County, SCTM# 0500-492-5-15.2 & 15.3

The Town as applicant has proposed to construct drainage improvements on Brooksite Drive to reduce volume of stormwater runoff and sediment into a tributary of the Nissequogue River.  Two existing catch basins will be replaced and  a new leaching pool and drainage pipes will be installed.  The project is located on Brooksite Drive, Smithtown SCTM# 800-102-4.
