Negative Declaration

Schenectady County - The Town Board of the Town of Niskayuna, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed U.S. Fiberglass will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves use of 36,000 sq. ft. of existing space for the construction of fiberglass inground pools. The project is located at 1301 Hillside Avenue, in the Town of Niskayuna.

Schenectady County - The Town Board of the Town of Princetown, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Creation of Water District 1 Extension No.2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of a public water system including watermains, a booster pumping station and water storage tank to provide water service to Gifford Church Road, Route 20 and Settle Hill Road in the Town of Princetown.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Draft EIS And Public Hearing

Montgomery County - The City of Amsterdam Industrial Development Agency, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Amsterdam Materials Recycling Project. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on January 21, 2004, at 6:30 pm at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Amsterdam, NY. Public Comment Period ends: February 13, 2004. The action involves the construction and operation of a materials recycling and construction/demolition debris disposal facility on a 39 +/- acre site in the Edson Industrial Park. The landfill will occupy 14 +/- acres of the site while the recycling area will occupy 7.5 +/- acres. The Project also involves a change in zoning that would establish a new zone for the project area. The zone would be identical in all respects to the LI zone except that landfilling and recycling of construction and demolition debris would be a permitted activity. The project site is a part of the Edson Industrial Park and is located north of NYS Route 5 and the Mohawk River, in the southeast corner of the City of Amsterdam, West of County Route 8 (Widow Susan Drive) and south and east of NYS Route 67.
