The Town of Boonville is proposing to construct and operate a new sand and gravel mine with a 33.4 acre Life of Mine Boundary within a 47 acre parcel under town ownership. The affected area during the first five year permit term will be 6.5 acres. A portable screening plant will be used on site. The site is located 600 feet south west of the intersection of Brown Pine Road and Moose River Road, in the Town of Boonville , Oneida County, New York.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.
SEQR Lead Agency:
NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Jan 16 2004.
