Approximately 4500 cubic yards of soil will be excavated for the basin, which is expected to alleviate problematic flooding in a residential neighborhood along South Blossom Road.

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

The new building addition will be constructed in a portion of the 100 foot wide adjacent area to the Maple Drive (LA-4) Wetland. The LA-4 Wetland is a class II wetland. The existing 86,400 square foot building is part of the Epic Sports Complex, a portion of which was constructed in the adjacent area of the LA-4 Wetland and authorized by DEC Permit No. 9-1452-00163/00001. The Epic Sports Complex is located at 2793 Wehrle Drive and serves an estimated peak of 725 persons during the course of various athletic events at the facility.
