The Department has made
a tentative determination to approve this application to modify
an existing SPDES permit (SPDES # NY-0215015) to allow the subsurface discharge of
up to 19,341 gallons of treated sanitary wastewater per day. The existing SPDES permit
authorizes the discharge of up to 6,500 gallons per day (gpd) from one outfall. The
proposed modification would accomodate additional subsurface discharges from
dormitory and bunkhouses of 12,841 gpd from six additional outfalls.
This project is located
on the east side of Smith Road, 0.5 miles north of the intersection
with Muhlig Road.
The permittee will be

The Department has made
a tentative determination to approve this application for a
SPDES permit for a previously existing surface discharge from an outfall (No. 001) with
a maximum daily flow of three (3) gallons per day (gpd) at Shaft 13 of the Delaware
Aqueduct located on the northern side of Cross River, Class A(t), near the western
terminus of Cross River Reservoir. Outfall No. 001 reflects a discharge to Cross River of
groundwater inflow and infiltration pumped from three underground sumps: Boiler Room
Sump, Loading Well Sump, and Main Basement Sump. The project involves no new
construction at the existing water supply facilities. Shaft 13 is located on the south side
of NYS Route 35 (Cross River Road), approximately 1500 feet east of NYS Route 22 in
