ENB Region 1 Completed Applications 12/10/2003

The applicant proposes to reconstruct 39 feet of existing bulkhead, construct 19 feet of new bulkhead and fill an existing railway boat slip area approximately 19' x 100'.  The railway boat slip area is considered tidal wetlands known as littoral zone.   The project is located at 144 Ocean Avenue, Amityville, Village of Amityville, Town of Babylon, Sufolk County, SCTM # 0100-009-7-21.  

The applicant proposes to construct a single family dwelling, septic system, decks and driveway.  The property is located on North Surfside Avenue, Montauk, Town of East Hampton.

The applicant proposes to dredge to a depth of 4' below apparent low water up to 876 linear feet of 50' - 60' wide canal and then 300 linear feet of 50' wide channel out into Smith Creek.  The resultant 3000 cubic yards of dredged material will be dewatered on-site and then removed off-site to an approved upland location beyond NYSDEC wetland jurisdiction.  The project is located at the Old Harbor Colony Property Owners Association property on the dug canal off Smith Creek in Hampton Bays, Town of Smithtown in Suffolk County.   

The applicant proposes to demolish an existing single family dwelling, garage and shed, remove a concrete slab, abandon an existing septic system and construct a new single family dwelling with deck, driveway and septic system.  The house/deck is proposed within 32 feet of the tidal wetlands and the septic system is proposed within 38 feet of the tidal wetlands at the site.  Variances from the 75 foot minimum setback for structures, and 100 foot setback for septic systems from the tidal wetlands have been requested.  The project is located at 47 Shinnecock Road, East Quogue, Town of Southampton, Suffolk County, SCTM# 0900-384-3-65.
