Negative Declaration

Allegany County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 15 Mile Acquisition of Former Railroad Corridor for inclusion in the Genesee Valley Greenway will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the acquisition and development of this former Erie River Line/Conrail rail bed into a multi-use recreational trail. Development activities will include the clearing of vegetation, addition of stone dust, installation of wood decking on plate girder bridges, and the installation of steel gates, benches and signage. The project is located in the Towns of Caneadea, Belfast, New Hudson and Cuba, Allegany County, New York.

Erie County - The Town Board of the Town of Orchard Park, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Woodbridge Construction Group, Inc. may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the development of an eighty-unit townhouse project on 17.86 acres of vacant land located on the east side of Taylor Road in the Town of Orchard Park.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Final Generic EIS

Erie County - The Sardinia Town Board, as lead agency, has accerpted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Town of Sardinia Comprehensive Plan. The action involves the adoption of a Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Sardinia. The Comprehensive Plan calls for the preservation of the rural character of the community, the preservation of most of the farmland and protection of the environment and natural resources while accommodating economic development in the eastern and southeastern portions of the Town along the NYS Routes 16 and 39 highway corridors. The plan also calls for expansion of recreational opportunities, improvements to the Chaffee water system and preservation of historic sites and structures.
