Suffolk County - The Town Board of the Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Local Law For Seabonack Mixed Use Planned Development District (MUPDD) (formerly known as Bayberry). A public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Southampton at 1:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY. Written comments on the FEIS will be accepted by the lead agency, the Town Board, up to and including December 9, 2003. The project involves the change in zoning classification of the property consisting of four parcels comprising approximately 298 acres, located on the east side of Cold Spring Pond Road, Shinnecock Hills, from Residence, R-120 to a specific Mixed Use Planned Development District to be known as the Sebonac Mixed Planned Development District to eliminate the pre-existing non-conforming uses and to create an 18-hole golf course with accessory uses as an alternative to the construction of up to 65 residential units and to permit the conduct of marine environmental research and possible construction of a marine field station.
