Town of Riverhead - The Town of Riverhead seeks an amendment to the Peconic River's Wild, Scenic & Recreational River (WSRR) boundary line at the former naval weapons industrial reserveplant in Calverton. The legislative public hearing was held on November 17, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. atthe Riverhead Town Hall.
The public comment period has been extended to December 5, 2003.
Gernatt Asphalt Products, Inc. proposes to modify the operating hours in the Mined Land Use Plan at its site, the Borer Deposite Gravel Mine, also known as the Freedom Plant. Applicant proposes to increase the hours of operation from 14 hours per day to 24 hours per day.
A legislative public statement hearing will be held to receive unsworn statements from the public on December 11, 2003 at 7:00pm. All interested parties may submit written comments at the hearing or mail those comments so that they are postmarked by December 9, 2003. A pre-adjudicatory hearing issues conference will be held on December 12, 2003 at 9:30am. Filing for party status must be received by 4:00pm on December 3, 2003.
